December 2003 - October 2007 Director/ Company Secretary of ASX listed Verus Investments Ltd, a listed investment company, which Simon has helped restructure and recapitalise since 2003. (www.verusinvestments.com.au)

Since July 2002, Director of Fyfe Corp Pty Limited with an active involvement in the growth of various public and private companies. Simon has been primarily engaged or involved in sourcing and completing acquisitions, structuring, capital raisings and divestments or consulting (e.g. Australian Financial Services Licensing and ASX Corporate Governance kits).
Background experience summary
In 1992 Simon was a marketing manager for a start up technology venture in the UK, before moving to Warsaw, and being engaged with a US venture capital fund managing a US$20m portfolio of treasury instruments and progressing the roll out of commercial lending operation in Poland. In 1995 he returned to Australia and worked on the restructure of a $400m retail chain with a SGX listed Singapore parent. In 1996 he was engaged in a private investment company active in equities, property development and import and distribution. Simon had direct responsibility for managing the equities portfolios and undertook a number of acquisitions on behalf of the company (including the clothing label Sportscraft).
From June 2000 Simon was a funds manager with ASX Listed Investment Company Clime Investment Management Ltd ASX Code: CIW (formerly Loftus) ( www.clime.com.au ). This company managed several funds in both listed and private equity and was the holder of a Dealer's Licence issued by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). In addition to his investment role he was Company Secretary and CFO.
Throughout this time he was the principal advisor on or was involved with numerous acquisitions and capital raisings (including IPO's, placements, and rights issues - including floating the company itself). Typically for each deal Simon was involved in:
- Screening and evaluation of opportunity;
- Preparation of a valuation;
- Structuring of capital base;
- Due diligence committee;
- Prospectus drafting;
- Arranging underwriters;
- Liaising with ASIC and ASX;
- Presentation drafting;
- Arranging and co-ordinating road show's; and
- Contract implementation;
- Preparation of company research;
- Involvement with on-going board/ management of investee companies
